Elden Ring Night Rain: Network Test, Release Date, and Elden Ring Runes
The wait is almost over! In just ten days, players will finally have the chance to experience the first session of Elden Ring: Night Rain as the Closed Network Test kicks off. With so much anticipation surrounding this new expansion, fans are abuzz with rumors, leaks, and exciting predictions. In today’s breakdown, we’ll discuss the expected gameplay previews, release date leaks, and more. Plus, we’ll highlight the best store to buy Elden Ring runes to maximize your in-game experience!
Gameplay Previews and Network Test Details
Following a similar pattern to the original Elden Ring release, players are expecting a gameplay preview to drop a few days before the network test. These previews are likely to showcase new gameplay mechanics, systems, and the unique features that differentiate Night Rain from the base game. Insider sources suggest February 12th as the date for this reveal, which would align perfectly with FromSoftware’s tradition of hyping fans right before a network test.
During the test, players are encouraged to break the game—find bugs, glitches, and provide feedback to help developers fine-tune the final product. So don’t be surprised if you encounter issues like lag or enemies disappearing into walls—it’s all part of the process.
Release Date Leaks: What We Know So Far
According to leaks from Insider Gaming, Elden Ring: Night Rain is currently slated for release in late May, with May 22nd or 23rd being strong contenders. This timing allows FromSoftware to gather feedback from the network test and polish the game before its official launch. Late May also aligns with the school summer break, giving players more time to dive into the game.
This release window matches the timeline of the original Elden Ring, which had its network test three months before launch. With FromSoftware’s history of Friday releases, May 22nd feels like a natural choice.
Beware of Scams: Network Test Code PSA
While excitement builds for the network test, some players have unfortunately resorted to shady practices, such as selling access codes on secondary markets for exorbitant prices. As of now, the codes aren’t even fully distributed, making these transactions highly risky.
If you didn’t receive a code, don’t worry—there’s a good chance someone in the community has extras to share. Many fans are generously giving away their extra codes in forums and comment sections. Save yourself the hassle and avoid supporting scalpers!
